Publishing Government Contracts in the Internet

Post by HUNGKAG on Wed Dec 03, 2008 1:38 pm

In the GPBB website, the following was posted,

"
Publishing Government Contracts in
the Internet

Tuesday, December 21,
2004

by : The Cabinet Secretary

During the National Convention of Governrnent Employees at
the Malacańang Heroes Hall on 09 December 2004, the President made this
statement: "I am instructing the agency heads to make sure that all
contracts their agencies enter into are exposed to the scrutiny of the public
by publishing them on the web pages of the Internet.”

In the light of this statement of the President, may we request you to undertake
the appropriate steps to implement this directive.

We will appreciate receiving a report in this regard for monitoring purposes.
Please send the copy to the Presidential Management Staff, Arlegui St., San
Miguel, Manila; Attn: The Cabinet Secretariat (Fax No. 733-37 -18).

Thank you for your continued cooperation."

Aside from the PMS, does GPPB have something on this such as acting as a clearing house where the public may view these contracts in one website instead of looking for it in government agencies' websites.

May i suggest the Phil-GEPS website be upgraded to accommodate this instruction. Aside from opportunities and awards, it is very timely to allocate certain features like "for posting purposes only".

This will give way for posting of such contracts as well as other related public documents for public viewing.

If the document is still active, and you have access to the PhilGEPS (as buyer or supplier), you can always check the website.

If the document is already closed, you may contact the PhilGEPS team to request for certifications (please confirm if they issue such). Very Happy

Since your sole purpose is the validation of such documents( referring to IAEB posting ), There are other source documents you can use as reference, such as newspaper clippings of the advertisement opportunities, Certification issued by the BAC secretariat of the procuring entity concern, or you can verify in the Philgeps website of (former) Bid opportunities of your agency.

Post by jomadel86 on Tue Jan 26, 2010 4:24 pm

The person in-charge of the posting of notice of award in the PhilGeps in our office just informed me that she cannot post notice of award in the PhiGeps considering that she does not know what icons or buttons to press so that the notice of award may be posted. Could anyone help us on how to post notice of award. Question Question Question Question

Posting of Award in PhilGEPS

Post by fe a. araya on Tue Jan 26, 2010 6:02 pm

To jomadel86, I have the same problem as yours which I posted earlier in this forum. I was advised to contact PhilGEPs thru this # 9005231 and the staff (particularly Carlo, Bryan and Mean) were very accommodating. They are just too willing to help. I hope di sila makulitan kasi lagi ako tumatawag example how to add name of suppliers to DRL. Now am learning the "how to" in the posting of award especially for closed notices where accordingly, we may request the PhilGEPs thru fax #9005239 to activate the "Award Notice". I hope this will help.
