PS and PhilGEPS Conduct Training of Trainers for Phase II (Virtual Store) Functionalities
Previously-qualified trainers of PhilGEPS who have undergone training for functionalities under Phase I will undergo training on the use of the Virtual Store and will be introduced to PhilGEPS' most latest module, the Expanded Supplier Registry. The PhilGEPS Trainers will be joined by Procurement Service (PS) officers and staff who have successfully completed the Team Building Workshop conducted in January. The trainers will be feted to more team building activities and lectures on adult learning methodologies, change management skills, hands on training on the use of the Virtual Store, planning and management of training programs, handling queries and using the Virtual Store e-learning materials. The activities will be held on April 6-8, 2011 at Lancaster Hotel Manila. [Source: www.philgeps.net]
UPDATE:
The Training of Trainers was successfully concluded with a lot of healthy discussions and the usual inspirational message from the Executive Director of PS Atty. Estanislao Granados at Day 3 calling the participants as "heroes" of its kind in revolutionizing and pioneering government procurement reform to a whole new level. Of course nobody died in the training (as Dir.Granados claimed there was 14 of them jokingly
) but the challenge has yet to come as the participants need to pass the Comprehensive Exam for validation of learning the lessons during the 3-day seminar workshop.

Congratulations to the PS and the PhilGEPS team. Expect a rollout within the year for top PS clients and NCR within the year while the rest of the country waits for 2012 to experience the full functionalities of the Virtual Store.
