Provincial Bidding

Post by sportsPTrider on Sat Aug 04, 2012 3:03 pm

Hello! I am a representative of a company in Bicol region and I would like to bid in Iloilo. Would I be allowed to do that?? What are the negative implications of my bidding in another province?

Absolutely, there is no provincial preference in our procurement law. There is no "negative implication" if you bid in another province. That is in accordance with the principle of competitiveness. Of course, it could be a bit costlier on your part, but it doesn't mean that you cannot compete. If you are declared the LCRB, then you should be awarded the contract. A bidder from Iloilo is not allowed to match your bid price.
