Groups file petition to SC against RFID project
Several groups have filed a petition urging the Supreme Court to declare the RFID project as unconstitutional. One of the reasons behind their petition is the violation against the provisions of Republic Act 9184, which requires competitive bidding on all government procurement. Likewise, they said that "the project also does not fall within the exceptions or alternative methods of procurement provided under R.A. 9184."
