Capiz Governor and 11 others allegedly violated RA 9184

Fernando Amutan filed a case against Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. and 11 others in the Ombudsman for allegedly violating Section 2 and 3 of the Republic Act 9184 (Government Procurement Reform Act) and Republic Act 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act). Further, he said in a radio interview that his move to file charges was not politically motivated, it was because he was a taxpayer and he wanted to ensure that public funds are used properly and not pocketed by government officials.
